Shore Side Dentistry

Welcome back Shore Side family! As of Tuesday, June 9, we’ve been able to offer our services again to our wonderful patients and are so excited to see you again. While it’s no surprise that we’ve made a few changes to adjust to the “new normal,” it’s our duty to inform you of these new changes and what you can expect at your next appointment. Please keep in mind that, as we’ve always had strict protocols in place regarding hygiene and sterilization practices, we have even stricter rules in place now and ask that you do your best to adhere to them so we can get through this challenging time together.

We’ll go over all our changes with you when you speak to one of your receptionists to book your appointment over the phone, but these are some of our most notable changes:

  1. Patients will be screened prior to, and upon arrival to your appointment to ensure no symptoms are present. We’ll also ask that you take your temperature before your appointment and provide us with the reading. If symptoms are present, we’ll reschedule your treatment for a later date.
  2. Upon entering and exiting our office, we’ll be asking patients to sanitize their hands. There are multiple sanitizing dispensers around the office to use as you please.
  3. Masks must be worn inside until it is time for your treatment. If you don’t have one, we’ll provide one for you.
  4. Our reception area and waiting room are following physical distancing precautions (six feet). To avoid congestion, you will only be asked to come in when it’s actually time for your appointment. A parent/ guardian can accompany children into our office; otherwise, we kindly ask that your company wait in the car/outside.
  5. Once in the operating chair, you’ll be provided with an antiviral oral rinse to use for 60 seconds.
  6. Every room has a new air purification system that is designed to clean nearly 100% of all aerosols every three to five minutes from the room.
  7. Please don’t be alarmed to see all of our staff wearing enhanced PPE such as gowns, gloves, surgical masks and face shields.
  8. For the time being, instead of using city water in our treatment lines, we’ll be using 1% hydrogen peroxide to reduce aerosols.

Have Any Questions?

Never hesitate to reach out and ask any questions about our changes or your treatment. We’re always here for you, especially as we all adapt to these new changes. If you have suggestions on how we can do things differently, let us know! We’re always looking for ways to continuously improve. We’re all in this together.

We look forward to seeing you soon.
